Time to face the music

Once upon a time, there was a boy who believed that he was destined for great things in life. All along, he just need to put in some effort in and events will definately go his way. Life has been smooth sailing for this naive boy since young. Nothing can go ever wrong for him. Recently, his beauty sleep at night has been disturbed by funny dreams. Dreams that reminded him about his failure and weakness. Dreams with such ominous signs gave him something to worry about. He feels that things will not the same this time. He sensed that Lady Luck that stood firmly by his side before has gone MIA now. It is the charming and generous smile from this mysterious lady that brought him back from the dead during prelims of Os and PSLE and lighted his path all the way to the top for the actual exam. Where is she when he needed him most ? Guess all good things will come to an end and its time for this boy to get a bitter taste of the real world. He jolly well know that his fate is no longer in his hands. There is nothing much that he can do except to hope. A third time lucky is what he will be hoping for this wednesday.

Moral of the story is "Ren shuan bu lu tian shuan". In english it simply means no matter how much mere mortals like you and I try to predict the future, it will always come up short against god's will.

A tribute to my heroes of Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

We were written off right after the best-of-16 draw was made in december 2006. No one fancied our chances. However, the reality now is we have defined all odds and pulled off an outstanding display against Real Madrid in spain. The determination and hunger shown by the team from london an extra edge both in attack and defence. The trademark swift counterattack was at our very best. The passings were fluent and neat. The midfield was excellent and never gave the galacticos any space and time. The defence made several crucial interceptions and were first to most 50-50 balls. This is a performance that we Arsenal fans can sing about for days. Although both teams had enough chances to kill the tie but lady luck was slightly on Wenger's side. A good goal from our captain coupled with safe hands from Lehmenn and poor finishing on Real's part gave us the advantage. If our strikers had been more clinical, we could have been 3-0 up. But an 1-0 away win against the Spanish giant is already a great result for me. Now that Arsenal has passed the hardest test of this draw with flying colours. Its really up to this young Arsenal team to put in yet another memorable display in 2 weeks time at Highbury. A poor performance in return leg will wash all the hard work put in today down the drain. So a place in the quarter-finals is only for Arsenal to lose now. Go Gunners! keep up the good work and we will be rewarded with another chance to pit ourselves against the best teams in Europe in the quarter-finals.

The match was definately worth staying up for man. Despite being able to sleep for only 30min last night after the match and then rushing off to work was rightly justified by the quality of football dished out.

This match in fact can serve as a learning point for everyone else out there. Hardwork and determination is the root of all sucess. The most talented men maybe the favourites for a race. Eventually, its the men who show the most hunger and desire that will win the race as well as the heart of the fans alike.

Pay Day

My Pay for January was credited into my account few days ago. Shall not disclose the amount here but I feel that its more than enough to get by. Those people who wants a treat can come find me le.

Anyway, visited the night safari for the first time in my life on Friday. A usual fun and out of this world outing with Dongsters. The following is an extract of many of the conversations during our night safari outing..

Anyone: Why the [ inset any question here] ?
Keith: You know why ?
Keith: Because the leopard never changes it's spots.

That answer was no doubt the quote of the day. If my memory did not fail me, he used that phrase more than 8 times. If you have noticed, the last time I wrote a proper and intelligent entry was sometime back. Perhaps work has been more stressful and demanding recently. It has impaired my flow of inspiration and creativity in one way or another. Thus, resulting in the lack of quality entries.

As the date of the release of the A level result looms closer, the fear and dread began to build up inside me. This feeling is comparable to that of a man already sentenced to death and awaiting the court to finalize his D day. As much as I do not want to face up to the reality of results but at the same time, I hate to live a life that is plagued by guilt and fear. The guilt of not dedicating enough effort to study and the fear of failing is driving me to the edge of breaking down. Dear MOE why dun you just release the results fast ? Just hang me to death now at this instance and thus put an end to the months of pain and misery. In fact, the real punishment of not of doing enough about my A levels is not the poor grades reflected on my certificate but the torture and agony that will haunt me for the rest of my life.

Time of your life.

Nothing is going right nowadays. " Bad things often happen one after another" How true indeed. When you are going thru a slump, nothing will go in your favour. Let alone the weather, your own carelessness, accidents, even your favourite socccer club rubs abit of unluckyness from you. Damn..our 9th defeat in the league. Time to say byebye to Champions League and hello to Uefa Cup next season. Pon work today to chill out =)

Currently Listening to:
"Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)"-- Green Day

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

I believe I can fly- R Kelly

"I Believe I Can Fly" by R kelly

Lazy to find the lyrics though since its a popular song. If you dun have and want it can ask from me. Yes its an old and inspiring song. But it will give one hell of a total meaning to you after watching Jim Carrey's latest film. Jim Carrey gave a total new dimension to this song in his latest movie "Fun with Dick and Jane."

This movie is more than just a comedy actually. It reflects the cruel working world that awaits all of us. It is always every man for himself out there. Not even the vice president in communication of GlobalDyme (played by Jim Carrey) can escape the wrath of reality. He became the victim of the dog eat dog world and became a scapegoat of a fraud case unknowingly. I would give 4 out of 5 stars for this movie. A must watch for all who wants to have a good laugh. Jim Carrey's physical humor is indeed beyond godlike. Age is catching up fast with him as seen from the wrinkles around his eyes so it wont be long before he calls it a day. For now, lets enjoy his work of art while we still can. For there will never be another Jim Carrey in future. A true legend in Hollywood he truly is.
